Event Description: Instinct: a natural or innate impulse, inclination, or tendency A collection of Bethany Kilburg’s most recent work in oil will be on display at the Ankeny Art Center this fall. The show, entitled, "Instinct", will feature stunning and captivating atmospheric works of art. These works are created using Bethany’s most powerful tool, instinct. The finished product of Bethany’s work often feels soothing and ethereal, though its creation is invariably impassioned and fiery. It is this intensity of production that prevents any extensive contemplation over the art’s subtleties. Bethany’s reactive painting style is the opposite of thoughtful or reflective, and allows her to encompass the intangibility of raw emotion and to connect with others through her art.
