It's Public Service Recognition Week! Celebrated annually since 1985 and reaffirmed this year by proclamation from President Biden, Public Service Recognition Week is a time set aside to honor the men and women who serve our nation as federal, state, county and local government employees. We'd like to thank City of Ankeny staff, elected officials and board members for their service and the work they do every day for our community. Thank you!

It's Municipal Clerks Week! Please join us in recognizing the important work the Ankeny City Clerk's Office does everyday and the vital role they play in local government. Thank you to the Ankeny City Clerk's office staff (L-R): City Clerk Michelle Yuska, Melinda Life, Mandy Hanson and Deputy City Clerk Diane Klemme. Initiated in 1969 by International Institute of Municipal Clerks and endorsed by all of its members throughout the United States, Canada and 15 other countries, the week is a time of celebration and reflection on the importance of the Clerk’s office. In 1984, President Ronald Reagan signed a proclamation that officially declared Municipal Clerks Week the first full week of May.
