It's Municipal Clerks Week! Please join us in recognizing the important work the Ankeny City Clerk's Office does everyday and the vital role they play in local government. Thank you to the Ankeny City Clerk's office staff (L-R): City Clerk Michelle Yuska, Melinda Life, Mandy Hanson and Deputy City Clerk Diane Klemme. Initiated in 1969 by International Institute of Municipal Clerks and endorsed by all of its members throughout the United States, Canada and 15 other countries, the week is a time of celebration and reflection on the importance of the Clerk’s office. In 1984, President Ronald Reagan signed a proclamation that officially declared Municipal Clerks Week the first full week of May.
