My husband and I ordered the tofu bowl and the salmon bowl. Both were grilled to perfection! The presentation is modest with the styrofoam containers, but the quality of food and decent pricing more than compensates.
The salmon bowl: We chatted with the cook (possibly the owner?) and the fish they receive is fresh, not frozen. You can tell from the first bite the difference because of how creamy the fish is with its natural oils. There is a perfect amount of fat on the salmon, which crispifies on the grill for a little bit of crunch on one side that almost tastes like fried salmon skin (which is amazing). Note that the salmon is not served with skin, but I almost wish there was an option. My husband said the noodles that he ordered for his bowl tasted like his grandma's hand-made noodles. :)
The tofu bowl: This is not your typical soggy tofu. The tofu is crispy and when combined with the teriyaki sauce, caramelizes to perfection. Worth trying even if you are not a big tofu fan.
The salad: I got mine with the Yuzu dressing, which is a vinaigrette made from the Yuzu citrus fruit that can be compared to lemon and grapefruit. The acidity is delicious and works so well alongside the flavors of the teriyaki bowl.
Some other things to expect: You may want to clarify your order. We ordered a side of spicy sauce that they use on edamame and received the edamame itself. Not a biggie and the edamame was devoured happily. Have patience with your cashier--food service can be a challenge!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Daniel S.West Des Moines, IA01Jun 12, 2023
This place was a staple for me when I was in high school. Now that I'm older, I come back every once in a while, and I'm always impressed with the speed and service that we get. The owners are really nice people and the food is always spectacular. I always recommend the Steak bowls, especially with the Noodles. and lots of teriyaki sauce. The beef roll is my personal favorite, and it's so good you'll always want more.
The design of the restaurant is also one of my favorite aspects about this location. they've recently added order screens, for those who prefer to order for themselves, along with a better parking lot and more modern outside designHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alicia S.Richmond, CA102104Jan 14, 2023

The staff were very rude and the food is very unflavored! We ordered sushi crab Rangoon's and two noodles and steak bowls sushi and crab Ragoons which was decent but the bowls were very tasteless. We brought it to their attention and they started to yell and scream at us and the man in the glasses got physical with his coworker and we were forcefully pushed out of the restaurant. Don't come here unless you like unflavored food.

First time I've had Teriyaki House... And the first time I've used the MyTown2Go delivery service. It was a good experience with both.
Strangely enough my favorite part of my meal tonight was the vegetable salad with ginger dressing. Along with that I had the teriyaki chicken with 1/2 noodles and 1/2 fried rice, an order of egg rolls, and an order of crab rangoon. Just under $16 before tip.
I placed my order at 740 pm, received periodic updates via text and E-mail, and the driver arrived right at about 815 pm. The estimate was one hour when I placed the order. I paid and tipped online. A cash option for the tip was available too. The driver was good natured and had the food in an insulated carrier so it was still hot.
The food itself was very good and the portions were large. A definite win as far as bang for your buck. I have plenty of leftovers. The dressing, teriyaki sauce, etc. all came on the side so a person could apply it to their taste. Everything was cooked well. Loved that the egg rolls were cut in half (diagonal cut)... The crab rangoons had a light and crispy texture. The filling leaned more towards savory than sweet. I wouldn't hesitate to order from Teriyaki House again and my first experience with MyTown2Go wasn't painful at all.
Its hard to recommend anything after one shot but, given my limited experience, both are worth trying.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 25, 2018
I've been hearing rave reviews about this place. They are all justified. I'll be back repeatedly.
The dedication to fresh ingredients is obvious. The Crab Rangoon are handmade daily. The sauces are made in house. The salad was cold and crisp. The noodles were not oily and had an awesome chew to them. The chicken and salmon was perfectly cooked.
I would have a hard time finding another meal of this value. The quality for the cost is noteworthy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ray C.West Des Moines, IA126Dec 27, 2021
The restaurant itself isn't anything fancy, just a relaxed environment. You order from a counter and pay upfront. However this is one of the best meals I've had this year. Seriously. You can tell they care, they do an excellent job, and the food is fantastic. Staff was pleasant and hardworking. I had the salmon, with white rice, and ginger dressing for my salad. I'm already thinking of going back and ordering again. The food is that good and at a great price.

I felt it was going downhill a bit when i was in last fall, the meat was overcooked more often than not - they used to ask how you wanted your steak prepared but not anymore. Scallops were usually overcooked too which is just no no no.
Tried calling in tonight to place a pickup order, after being put on hold for 5 minutes they hung up on me. Looks like it's gonna be a while longer before I go back again, if ever.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
