Employee of the Year

This award is to recognize an individual who works for an Ankeny company who has made a significant contribution to their company and shown involvement in the betterment of the Ankeny Community.

Qualifications include:

Played a role in the business growth and demonstrated the ability to respond to problems and adversity
Demonstrated an active concern and an ongoing involvement in community betterment
Employed by a company in the City of Ankeny, Ankeny Community School District, DMACC, Non-Profits etc.…
Said company is a member of the Chamber
Reputation of honesty & integrity
Makes a positive difference for fellow colleagues
Nomination must be signed off by COO, President, CEO or highest level of management

Small Business of the Year

This award is to recognize an individual who works for an Ankeny company who has made a significant contribution to their company and shown involvement in the betterment of the Ankeny Community. This Award is to recognize tan Ankeny businessperson making a significant contribution in business and in the community.

Qualifications include:

A Chamber member businessperson should have meaningful ownership and active management in the business and an active involvement in the management of the business
Played a role in the business growth and demonstrated the ability to respond to problems and adversity
Demonstarted an active concern and an ongoing involvement in community betterment outside of their business.
Displays integrity and honesty in both personally and professionally
A City of Ankeny resident or Ankeny Community School District or has a business that serves the Ankeny community or businesses.

Citizen of the Year

This award is to recognize an individual who exemplifies attributes and passion to the commuinty outside of their chosen profession.

Qualifications include:

City of Ankeny resident or of the Ankeny Community School District
Has demonstrated a noteworthy contribution to the local community, going above and beyond to help others
Gives selflessly of their time and talent
Contributions/volunteers to the welfare and betterment of the community
Makes a positive difference for fellow citizens
An individual who fosters the community through highest ethics, standards, passion, integrity, servant leader etc...
Chamber membership not a requirement
Please attach a resume or supporting documents showing civic involvement, volunteerism, contribution to the community, risks taken, leadership roles etc…
