Miss 16, originally known as Miss Ankeny, is a community based pageant that highlights Ankeny students around the age of 16 in the 3 categories of Miss Community, Miss Scholastic and Miss Photogenic. Winners hold their titles for one year and are recognized the following year while crowning their successors.
The contest is available to girls who will be a junior for the 2016-2017 school years or reach the age of 16 between September 16, 2015 and September 1, 2016 are eligible. Participation is limited to one year. All contestants must attend Ankeny High School or Ankeny Centennial high School and/or reside within the Ankeny School District.
