Through committee involvement members have the opportunity to affect change in areas specific to their businesses and make important business contacts.

Ankeny Emerging Leaders

Coordinates and plans the institute that hosts twenty young emerging leaders in civic, government and academic areas of Ankeny.
Ankeny Young Professionals

A group of young professionals involved in the community they live and work in by supporting local businesses and partnering with local philanthropy efforts. AYP offers a wide variety of activities and opportunities, social events, community service projects and presentations on professional development. Ambassadors

The welcoming arm of the Chamber. Attend ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings as needed and host the Chamber Orientation Receptions. Be part of the mentoring program to assist a new member in Chamber needs. Meets regularly the third Wednesday of the month at 11:15 AM or 4:30 PM. Click here to learn more.

Business Resource Center

Serves on a committee to formulate mentor sturcture, set vision and establish bylaws for the upcoming business center.

Conducts candidate forums and legislative briefings. Meets with local and state elected officials to communicate the voice of Ankeny area businesses. Meets the third Monday of each month at Noon.

Business 2 Business Forum
Business 2 Business Forum is exclusively for Chamber members. A round table forum designed to facilitate networking between members in a professional setting.
TASTE Ankeny EXPERIENCE Ankeny
This annual Chamber event showcases our Ankeny Area Chamber business services, restaurants, caterers and beverage distributors to the community and metro area. Booth space will be available for participants to show case menu items. Meets monthly July through November.
SummerFest
Be a part of the Ankeny SummerFest, the annual four-day community celebration, organizational committee. Committee meets in the evening starting late winter and continues up to the event. Ankeny SummerFest is held the second weekend of July, with events held Thursday through Sunday and a firework finale. www.ankenysummerfest.org Meets monthly February through July.
Christmas Luncheon
This committee coordinates the annual community luncheon held in December for Chamber members, employees and the community. Meets monthly September through December.
Chamber Golf Open
This annual June golf outing is one of the largest in the area with over 300 golfers. This is a great opportunity to network with fellow members. Meets monthly February to June.
Total Resource Campaign

The TRC (held late January through mid-March) develops leadership and financial resources of the Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce through a six-week, all-volunteer campaign to attract new members and secure business sponsors for Chamber programs, events, electronic media and publications. Offer the opportunity to market businesses in one of the most visible events and organizations in the Ankeny area
