Why serve on a committee? By participating in the various committees and activities the Chamber has to offer, you and your company can become instrumental in enhancing our community and shaping Ankeny's future.

Committees:
Ambassadors– The welcoming arm of the Chamber. Attend ribbon cuttings and ground breakings as needed and host the Chamber Orientation Reception. Meets regularly the third Wednesday of the month at 4:00 PM or 11:00 AM. Click Here to get involved with the Ambassadors.
Ankeny Young Professionals– Involved in the community they live and work in by supporting local businesses and partnering with local philanthropy efforts. AYP hosts socials and Lunch & Learns. Click Here to get involved with AYP.
Adult Learning– To reach and educate the Ankeny Chamber, Ankeny residents, and Ankeny area businesses about what adult education is and what options are available within the Ankeny community. Click Here to get involved with the Adult Learning Committee.
Member 2 Member– Promotes doing business with Ankeny Chamber members by contacting members, providing incentives through M2M program and promoting awareness of marketing opportunities. Meetings scheduled as needed. Click Here to get more information about the M2M Program.
Public Affairs– Conducts candidate forums and legislative briefings. Meets the third Monday of each month at Noon. Click Here to get involved with the Public Affairs committee.
Business Connect– This committee consists of Board Members and members who make periodic visits to the largest employers (employees of 50 or more) to encourage involvement and bring the management team up to date on the latest activity of the Ankeny Area Chamber. Ankeny Leadership Institute– Coordinates and plans the Institute that hosts 20 young leaders in Civic, government and academic areas of Ankeny. Click Here to learn more about the Ankeny Leadership Institute.
Annual Event Committees:

Total Resource Campaign- Plan for the Chamber’s annual sponsorship drive which runs from January through March each year. Click Here to get more information about the Total Resource Campaign.

Ankeny Celebrates Education - Organize the yearly celebration for all faculty and staff of Ankeny Schools. Click Here to get more information about the Ankeny Celebrates Education committee.
SummerFest/Sub-Committees– Be a part the Ankeny SummerFest organizational committee which meets beginning in January up to the event. Sub-committees include marketing, events and site preparation meet monthly also. Ankeny SummerFest is held around the second weekend of July.
