Welcome to the Ankeny Chamber of Commerce Website.
I couldn’t be more proud to serve as your 2015 Chamber President. The Ankeny Chamber is the largest Chamber in the Des Moines Metro, quickly approaching 900 members, and I fully believe we will end 2015 with 1,000 Chamber Members! Our mission statement says it all: “The Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce exists to promote economic development, strengthen our business climate, and enhance the quality of life in the Ankeny area.” As a resident of Ankeny, an Officer at First National Bank, and a small business owner in Ankeny, I can truly say that the Ankeny Chamber has improved the quality of life for me and my family, and helped me grow both personally and professionally.
During 2015 the Ankeny Chamber is putting on over 50 events with many of those being family friendly including our 3rd Annual Chamber Chill Run, SummerFest, and Taste Ankeny Experience Ankeny! If you are a business owner I would encourage you to participate in “Office Hours” where you can receive one on one professional advice. My desire this year is to help Chamber members connect with and utilize all of the resources that are available through the Ankeny Chamber, the Greater Des Moines Partnership, and other Ankeny Chamber Members. Be sure to sign up to receive our monthly Chamber Action Newsletter and mark your calendar for upcoming events.
One of the best ways to grow your business and get connected is to not only attend events, but to get involved by volunteering on a committee. Planning SummerFest and over 50 other Chamber events takes a lot of time, creativity, planning, and fun in the process! We welcome you to bring your ideas and helpful hands!
